Hello, I am Marina from Ukraine and came to Sweden because of the war. I have fibroids and cysts in both breasts. I had a mammogram in Ukraine a year and a half ago. Everything was normal, but I need to be monitored every six months. And so in Sweden I visited two family doctors and asked for a referral to a mammologist, but they refused me because I do not have severe pain, discharge, etc. I have already asked the gynecologist three times to refer me for an ultrasound or to a mammologist. To which he tells me that he cannot do this. And a week ago, when I asked him to make an appointment with a mammologist again, because I met a friend and she turned out to have breast cancer, the gynecologist refused me again. He said that in a year you will already be 40 years old and you will receive a referral to a mammologist. I have an indignant question: why can't you get to a mammologist before you are 40? After all, breast cancer progresses, and with timely examination and detection, the outcome will be favorable. I am very unhappy with this medical situation and attitude
